my spouse. my husband. my heart.
I could write for days about my husband. Yes, he is that amazing. He works hard for our family- sometimes leaving around 4:30AM and working until well after 11PM. Those nights don’t happen often, but when they do, he doesn’t complain. He helps me so much, even though I am a stay at home mom. Since Bella has been born, he has done a lot (dare I say most) of the cooking and cleaning. It’s crazy and it makes me feel bad, but that isn’t his intention. He understands that right now, nursing is going to take most of my time, and he fully supports that. He doesn’t get embarrassed when I nurse Bella in public- even it it is in front of hundreds of people at the TN aquarium. He wants what is best for our children. He is the best father in the entire world- well, I guess it’s a tie between him & my dad, ha. He is the sun and moon to Bryson. When 5:00pm rolls around and Daddy isn’t home yet, Bryson starts to lose it. I love watching them play together. It melts my heart. I can already tell that I’m going to have to be the “mean one” when it comes to Bella, because he is wrapped so tightly around her finger. He can tell when I need a break and he’ll grab both of the kids and either take them outside, or load them up and go somewhere with them. That is a brave move, my friends. When you have a nursing baby who refuses to take a bottle, a trip out could be a terror, but he does it anyways. His weekends are fully dedicated to his family. If he’s working on his truck, he has Bryson involved. No matter what he’s doing, he has one (if not both) of the kids by his side. There is nothing I love more than watching them interact together.
I say all of this not to make him (or us) look perfect- even though I think he is pretty darn close. I say it simply because it is true. Do we fuss? Yep. Nine times out of ten, he tells me I’m overreacting to the situation and he’s right. He rarely ever gets upset. I think we balance one another. I’m wound pretty tight, but he is as laid back as it gets. He helps me keep my head on straight.
I could go on for day, so I’ll just say that he is my soul mate, without a single doubt. He’s the best person I know and I am so honored to call him my husband.
